I could have become the PM: Ramdev
New Delhi, May 24 (IBNS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporter and yoga guru Baba Ramdev said if he wanted, he could have become the Prime Minister, a Member of Parliament or a Chief Minister.
"I am not desperate for any ministry. If I wanted, I could have become the PM, MP or CM," Ramdev told CNN-IBN.
"If I wanted any ministry, then I would have got not one but many. But I don't want any ministry as the Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi is our leader and all the ministers are our leaders," he told the news channel.
"Once Narendra Modi got the mandate, I returned to Haridwar. And if I wanted any ministry, then I would have stayed in Delhi," he added.
He said he will never join active politics.
"My duty to the nation is not bound by a political post. I will never enter active politics," said Ramdev.
