Hyderabad: At least 2 dead as constriction site caves in

Hyderabad, Mar 14 (IBNS); Two women workers building a cellar at a Hyderabad construction site were buried alive after loose soil gave away and caved in, reports said.

The accident took place in the city's Kondapur area, NDTV reported.

It also left two others injured, identified as the husbands of the deceased women.

The deceased have been identified as Bharatamma and Kistamma.

Police have pointed towards the lack of safety at the site while citing a reason for the accident.

A case of criminal negligence have been filed by the police against the site engineer and the contractor.
