Huge cache of explosives recovered in Assam’s Hailakandi district

Guwahati, Sept 11 (IBNS): Security forces recovered huge cache of explosives in Assam’s Hailakandi district and arrested a person in connection with it.

According to the reports, based on intelligence input, Assam police, BSF and CRPF jointly launched an operation at Sudarshan Pur Part-1 area under Bandukmara police outpost in the Barak valley district on Tuesday and recovered huge cache of explosives from a house.

The security personnel recovered 48 numbers gelatin stick, 49 detonators along with 3 meters fuse wire, 600 numbers (3 packets of 200 numbers each) of R7 tablets (which is said to be some kind of drugs probably).

Security personnel had arrested a person identified as Amir Uddin Mazumdar in connection with it.

Police investigation is going on.
