Himachal Pradesh to hold Assembly election on Nov 9

New Delhi/Shimla, Oct 12 (IBNS): The state Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh will be held on November 9, the Election Commission announced on Thursday.

The counting will take place on Dec 18.

Notification for the single phase election will be made on Oct 16,

The elections will be conducted by using electronic voting machines (EVMs) with voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT). according to media reports.

The term of the 68-member Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly ends on January 7, 2018.
