Himachal Pradesh: Cloudburst leaves several missing in Kullu

Shimla/UNI: At least four to six people are said to be missing following a cloudburst in Kullu district near Manikaran, Superintendent of Police Gurudev Singh said.

"Four to six persons and livestock were washed away after a flood caused by very heavy rainfall and cloudburst in Chojh village on Wednesday," Singh said.

A rescue team was stuck on the way to Chojh village of Challal Panchayat following a landslide on the Kasol -Jaimala Road.

The team of fire and police were deployed for the operation.

Heavy rainfall has also wreaked havoc in Shimla where a teen died and two others were hit by landslide near Dhalli tunnel.

Flash flood occurred at Malana Project-II under T Bhuntar Tehsil of Kullu district at 7.35 am leading to 25 to 30 workers getting stuck inside a building.

All were rescued safely.
