Himachal CM inducts 6 Congress legislators as Parliamentary Secretaries

Shimla: Before Çabinet expansion, Himachal Pradesh Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu administered oath to six Congress legislators as Chief Parliamentary Secretaries in a simple swearing ceremony conducted at Himachal Pradesh Secretariat on Sunday.

The six legislatures include Sunder Thakur Member of the Assembly from Kullu, Mohan Lal Bragta member of the Assembly from Rohru of Shimla district, Ramkumar Chaudhary, a member of the Assembly from Doon district Solan, Ashish Butail, a member of the Assembly from Palampur of Kangra district, Kishori Lal, Member of Assembly from Bejnath-Kangra district and Sanjay Awasthi member of Assembly from Arki.

Chief Secretary Parbodh Saxena conducted the oath-taking ceremony.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and newly inducted ministers who would be administered the oath at 10 am on Sunday include Harashvardhan Chauhan, Jagat Singh Negi, and Rohit Thakur.

Other members of the new council of ministers were also present.

The move gains significance as Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is looking at creating a balance in the newly formed government.

A total of ten ministers are likely to be inducted today and three could be administered oath later.
