Mumbai, July 26 (IBNS): Heavy rains crippled the life of Mumbaikars on Friday with the city experiencing waterlogging, traffic jams and flights being diverted.

As many as 17 flights were diverted and many delayed by up to an hour in Mumbai because of low visibility.

As a result of heavy downpour and waterlogging, massive traffic jams were spotted across the city.

The intensity of the rain will only start decreasing from Saturday afternoon or evening, private weather forecaster Skymet has predicted.

Waterlogging reports came from Mumbai suburbs, Juhu Tara Road, Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road, several stretches of SV Road and parts of Western Express Highway, leading to traffic jams.
