Haryana: 8 injured in bus explosion at Kurukshetra

Pipli, Kurukshetra, May 26 (IBNS): At least eight people received severe burn injuries after a blast occurred inside a moving Haryana Roadways bus on National Highway-1 at Pipli in Haryana on Thursday, media reports said.
The injured were admitted to the civil hospitals of Kurukshetra and Pipli.
 
The victims' conditions are reported to be stable.
 
According to reports, the explosion took place near the Tau Devi Lal Park.
 
The blast damaged window panes in the middle section of the bus that was on its way to Chandigarh. 
 
The driver acted swiftly and managed to bring the bus to a halt immediately.
 
Police recovered a battery that may have been used to trigger the explosion, reports said.
 
The battery was probably hidden inside the bus.
