Hardcore ULFA(I) ultra nabbed in Assam

Guwahati, July 30 (IBNS): A hardcore militant of United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) was nabbed by police in Assam's Tinsukia district on Thursday, police said.

Police said that the nabbed militant was involved in the killing of two Hindi speaking people at Bijulibon village under Pengeri police station in the Upper Assam district.

Following a tip-off, Tinsukia district police launched operation at Parani reserve forest and apprehended the hardcore militant who identified as Ravan Asom alias John alias Muhidhar Moran.

Security personnel recovered one AK-81 rifle, three magazines, three grenades, a Chinese hand grenade and large quantity ammunition of AK-81 in possession from him.
