Guwahati ranks 12th among cleanest cities

Guwahati, Nov 13 (Not in Town/IBNS) : Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Friday congratulated the people of Guwahati, the Kamrup Metropolitan district administration and Gauhati Municipal Corporation for Guwahati securing the 12th position among the cleanest cities.

In a statement Gogoi said that the first ever survey on cities’ cleanliness from the perspective of tourists commissioned by the Ministry of Tourism, placing Guwahati at the 12th position among 36 cities and Union Territories.

Gogoi while congratulating them hoped that they would put up more efforts to make Guwahati the cleanest city in the country.

The Assam CM congratulated his counterpart Pawan Kumar Chamling for Gangtok getting the 1st position.
