Srinagar, June 18 (IBNS): Several people were injured when militants threw a grenade at a police station in south Kashmir's troubled Pulwama district on Tuesday, media reports said.

The grenade reportedly exploded outside the police station.

Pulwama has been frequently in the news in recent time owing to clashes between militants and security forces.

This comes a day after an Army vehicle was attacked with an improvised explosive device in Pulwama. No one was died.

The vehicle was damaged in the attack, which was followed up by firing and stone pelting.

In a statement, the Army called the attack a "failed attempt" by terrorists.
