New Delhi, Aug 25 (IBNS) After the complete washout of the Monsoon session of Parliament, the Narendra Modi government is likely to take a decision on convening a special session to pass the much-awaited Goods and Service Tax Bill, held up in the face up continued opposition ruckus, reports said.

In a bid to reach out to the Congress to break the stalemate Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu has met senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge at his residence. Naidu will then meet Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

Reports said  the government will hold consultations with various political parties on the GST Bill and only after all parties fall in line to let the Bill a safe passage, the government will take a final call.

The special session may be called from August 31 to September 4 if everything goes right, reports said.
