Goa CM, ministers congratulate PM Modi for 2nd term

Panaji, May 30 (IBNS): Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and his cabinet colleagues on Thursday congratulated Narendra Modi for taking oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the second term.

''The most awaited moment is here. Congratulation to Shri @narendramodi ji on taking oath as the Prime Minister of India. #ModiSwearingIn,'' Sawant tweeted.

Besides the Chief Minister, his cabinet colleagues also congratulated Modi for a straight second term.

In a tweet, Deputy Chief Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar wrote: ''Congratulations to Prime Minister of India Shri @narendramodi ji. I am confident that our country will soon be the Superpower under your able leadership. Best wishes to you from God’s Own Abode # GOA @BJP4India @BJP4Goa.''

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said, ''The entire nation today is beaming with pride. My hearty congratulations to Shri @narendramodi ji on being sworn in as the Prime Minister of India for the second consecutive time. In you, we believe & feel pride. A new, positive transformation awaits India under your leadership!.''

Goa Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte said he was looking forward to working in collaboration with the Centre to take regional aspirations ahead.

''At the Rashtrapati Bhavan for the swearing in ceremony of the Prime Minister of India Shri @narendramodi ji & his Union Cabinet. Looking forward to working in collaboration with the centre to take Goa's vision and regional aspirations ahead successfully #ModiSwearingIn,'' he tweeted.

After registering a thumping victory at the recently concluded Lok Sabha election, Narendra Modi on Thursday evening took oath as the Prime Minister of India for the second time.

President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath of office.

Along with Modi, Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah also took the oath at the grand swearing-in ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
