Gen. Bikram Singh visits HQ South Western Command

Jodhpur, May 23 (IBNS): The Chief of the Army Staff General Bikram Singh on Friday visited the Headquarters of the South Western Command.
Lt Gen Arun Kumar Sahni, GOC-in-C (Army Commander)​, South Western Command briefed the Army Chief on the state of operational preparedness of the South Western Army.
 
Singh later interacted with senior functionaries of HQ South Western Command and addressed the officers of the station on issues facing the Army and collective efforts taken to achieve well drawn out key area results.  
 
Emphasising upon core values of honesty, truthfulness, sincerity, commitment and dedication, the Chief called upon all officers to instill greater pride in the service across rank and file.  
 
Singh expressed satisfaction on efforts being made to ensure that the Army remains a potent, responsive and accountable instrument of national power, the vision enunciated by him as head of the organisation. 
 
The Army Chief also emphasised on value based leadership in accordance with the legacy of Indian Army.  
 
He emphasised on the requirement of regular interaction with veterans to imbibe rich ethos of our predecessors.
