Fresh violence in WB's Parui region, 3 killed

Kolkata, Oct 27 (IBNS): Fresh incidents of violence erupted at Makra village near Parui region in West Bengal on Monday which resulted in the killings of three persons.

The incident occurred three days after miscreants attacked police personnel during a raid at Parui.

The victims were identified as Tausif Sheikh, Sheikh Mozzameil and Sulaiman Sheikh.

According to reports, the miscreants entered the village and hurled bombs, fired gunshots, burnt and ransacked houses.

The villagers also retaliated to the attacks.

The police, however, remained inactive throughout the violence, the villagers claimed.

Prohibitory orders under Section 144 was imposed in the village.
