Four people of a family die in a road accident in Assam’s Dudhnoi

Guwahati, Oct 7 : Four people of a family, including a 8-year-old girl child, were killed and two others were injured while a Maruti Alto car fell into a deep gorge in Assam’s Goalpara district on Sunday night.

The incident took place at Banbasi area under Dudhnoi police station where the vehicle hit a roadside tree and fell into a deep gorge while a five-member family returning home from Durga Puja pandals.

According to the reports, a five-member family travelling in the vehicle had visited several Durga Puja pandals in Dudhnoi area.

When some locals had noticed the incident they immediately informed police and engaged in rescue operation.

Four people were died on spot and two others including the driver of the vehicle injured in the accident.

The injured persons were admitted at Goalpara civil hospital in serious condition.
