Four Army men, one terrorist killed in Kashmir encounters

Srinagar, Oct 5 (IBNS) Four Army personnel were killed in an encounter with terrorists in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, reports said.

The encounter is still underway.

A terrorist was also killed in a separate gunbattle with security personnel in the Lolab area in the district.

The Army had launched an operation in the Haphruda forest in Handwara area of the district following a tip-off that terrorists were hiding there.

Another encounter between terrorists and security forces is also underway at  Krusan in the Lolab valley area of the  same district.One terrorist has been killed and an AK-47 has been recovered from him.

On Sunday, two Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists were killed and a soldier was injured in an encounter in Pulwama district.
