Former Arunachal Pradesh CM Kalikho Pul commits suicide

Guwahati, Aug 9 (IBNS) : Former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Kalikho Pul, was found dead at his official residence in Itanagar on Tuesday morning.

Pul allgedly hanged himself.  .

The Arunachal Pradesh DGP and senior Congress leader of the state Ninong Ering have confirmed Pul's death. .

Pul became the CM of Arunachal Pradesh on February 19, 2016, but he had to resign from the post in the wake of the adverse Supreme Court verdict in July 2016.


Pul  had joined the BJP- led North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) few months ago.

He was State Finance Minister in the ministry of Chief Minister Gegong Apang from 2003 to 2007.
