Fire in Kolkata high-rise brought under control

Kolkata, Feb 5 (IBNS): The fire, which broke out in a multi -stored building, in Kolkata's Jahwarlal Nehru Road on Thursday has been brought under control.

The fire broke out in the fifth floor of Himalaya House at around 8 am int he morning.

As many as 12 fire engines rushed to the spot and firefighters fought for nearly 2 and a half hours to bring the fire under control.

No casualty has been reported so far.

Firefighters said that the fire might have started due to short circuit.

A forensic team went to the spot to investigate the actual cause  of the fire.
