Kolkata, Apr 12 (IBNS): A fire broke out in Arsalan restaurant at Park Circus Seven Point Crossing area in Kolkata on Tuesday noon, reports said.

According to reports, the fire was first seen inside restaurant's kitchen and a massive smoke covered the entire restaurant.

As many as four fire tender engines rushed to the spot. Disaster Management Group (DMG) and police force are also there.

After evacuating the entire building, fire dousing operation was started.

However, fire-fighters have arrested the source of the blaze and currently they are trying to douse the pocket-fires.

According to fire service officials, the blaze might have started due to a short circuit in restaurant's chimney.

"Firefighting is currently under way. It will be brought under control very soon and after that, cooling off process will begin. Then we will start investigation into the incident," one senior official of West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services told IBNS.

Due to the fire, traffic on adjacent roads was partly disrupted.

However, no casualty has been reported so far in the incident.
