Singapore City, Nov 14 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that 'financial inclusion' has become a reality for 1.3 billion Indians in the country.

" Financial inclusion has become a reality for 1.3 billion Indians today," Modi said while addressing at the Singapore Fintech Festival.

"We are in an age of a historic transition brought about by technology," he said.

Modi said his government aimed at changing the lives of every citizen.

"My government came to office in 2014 with a mission of inclusive development that would change the lives of every citizen, even the weakest in the remotest village," he said.

Speaking on the digitization scenario in India, Modi said: "India is a nation of diverse circumstances and challenges. Our solutions must also be diverse.

Our digitization is a success because our payment products cater to everyone."

He said digital technology is introducing transparency and eliminating corruption through innovation.

He said India is one of the best destinations for investments for fintech companies and startups.
