Fiji's Deputy Prime Minister Biman Prasad becomes first foreign leader to visit Ayodhya Ram Temple

Fiji's Deputy Prime Minister Biman Prasad has become the first foreign leader to visit the newly built Ram Temple in Ayodhya town of Uttar Pradesh.

Leading a delegation of Indian diaspora members, Prasad visited the temple on Thursday.

During his visit to India, the Fijian leader met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and posted on X: "Thank you @DrSJaishankar for a warm welcome and a very fruitful discussion on expanding our development cooperation @FijianPM @FijiGovernment @HCI_Suva."

During the meeting, Jaishanakr and Prasad discussed expanding bilateral partnership, people-to-people ties, development cooperation and multilateral collaboration between the two nations.

He arrived in India on Sunday.

The grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple was held on January 22.

The event witnessed the participation of Indian PM Narendra Modi.
