Engineering student proposes Rahul's name to be included in the Guinness for losing maximum polls

New Delhi, Mar 21 (IBNS) : As Rahul Gandhi goes through a tough political time having lost consecutive elections, rubbing salt to his injury comes a proposal

to name him in the Guinness Book of World Records for losing maximum polls, media reports said.

Vishal Diwan, an engineering student from Madhya Pradesh has recently approached to the Guinness Book of World Records and requested to enlist Rahul's name for losing as many as 27 elections.

According to reports, the  the student has also paid the application fee to officials and has also received confirmation of acceptance of the application.

However, it is yet to be clarified whether the request will be entertained.

In the recently-concluded Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the Congress won only 7 out of the 105 seats it contested.
