Energy conservation can stop rising temperature: PM Modi on 'Mann Ki Baat'
New Delhi, Nov 29 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said energy conservation is the first solution to stop rising temperature.
Raising his concern on global warming on the 14th edition of 'Mann Ki Baat', Modi said: "Climate change, global warming are issues of discussion and concern. Energy conservation is the first solution to stop rising temperature. This is everyone's responsibility."
This comes ahead of Dec 14, which is celebrated as the National Energy Conservation Day.
Modi informed that there are many government schemes to help conserve energy, naming the LED bulb scheme as one such.
In this context, PM Modi also mentioned about a resident of Kanpur, Noor Jehan, who is helping provide light to poor by using solar energy.
He also said that all SAARC countries should work together for disaster preparedness.
