Raipur, Mar 13 (IBNS) : At least eight Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)  personnel were killed, and six others injured in an IED blast by Maoists  in the Kistaram area of Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Tuesday, media reports said.

According to reports, the condition of four of the six injured are critical.

The incident, that took place during a search operation, came days after ten ultras were killed in a gunfight with security forces along  Chhattisgarh-Telengana border on March two.

In April 2017,  25 CRPF jawans were killed and six injured in an ambush by Maoists in the Burkapal area of Sukma in one of the biggest massacres in the recent time.
