Eastern Air Command Winter adventure camp concludes

Kolkata, Jan 8 (IBNS): A week-long  Winter Adventure Camp organized by Air Force Station Bagdogra under the aegis of Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional), Easter Air Command concluded  at Bagdogra today. The aim of the camp was to promote the spirit of adventure and motivate the youth to join Indian Air Force, build team spirit, display professionalism and military power.  

During the camp, the children participated in various events like Parasailing, Powered Hang Gliding, Rappelling, Zorbing, Trekking, Burma Bridge, River Rafting and Educational Games.

Altogether 60 Children participated in the camp.  All the Children displayed great enthusiasm during the camp through their dare devil actions under the guidance of professional instructors. The Instructors of Adventure team were Master Warrant Officer Dharamvir (Parasailing Instructor), Sergeant KP Singh (PHG Pilot), Corporal HP Singh (Land Sports) who were ably supported by a team of air warriors from the station.

A Camp fire was organized on the closing day.  Air Cmde Manu Choudhary VM, Air Officer Commanding, 20 Wing, was the Chief Guest for the concluding ceremony.  Smt Santosh Choudhary, President AFWWA (L) was the guest of honour.  President AFWWA (L) presented mementos and participation certificates to the children.
