DU's SRCC releases first cut off list
New Delhi, June 30 (IBNS): The Delhi University (DU) on Monday released its first cut off list.
DU's Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) became the first college to release its cut-off marks list.
According to the first cut-off list released by SRCC on its website, the cut off for B Com (Honours) has been kept at 97.5 percent for general A category.
The cut off marks for commerce students who want to study BA Economics (Honours) is 98.25 percent, while for humanities and science students it is 97.25 percent.
The list is for admissions to the courses under the three-year format to which the university agreed.
The university, which was adamant on not reverting to a three-year-course for a four-year one, has finally accepted the diktat of UGC.
Earlier, the Delhi University said it will begin its admission process from Tuesday after days of uncertainty
This comes after the DU finally gave up its stance on a Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) and agreed to a three-year format stipulated by the UGC (University Grants Commission), buckling before growing protests by students and teachers.
"In line with the directive of the UGC the University has decided to roll back the FYUP. Consequently the admission process shall be conducted under the scheme of courses that were in force in the academic session 2012-13 in all the colleges of the University of Delhi," the Delhi University said.
However, the students in favour of the FYUP protested on Saturday.
