DRDO successfully tests Pinaka guided weapon for the third time

New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) Defence Research Development Organization (DRDO) on Tuesday successfully test-fired Pinaka guided weapon for the third time at Pokharan range in Rajasthan.

After the two successful trials, the DRDO scientists have carried out another test in less than 48 hours.

“All the three trials met mission objectives. The consecutive successful missions of Guided Pinaka prove the efficacy, reliability and high precision capabilities of the weapon system." said a defence ministry statement.

The Pinaka guided weapon system is equipped with a state-of-the-art guidance kit comprising an advanced navigation and control system.
