Hyderabad, June 22 (IBNS) A regional director of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) was attacked with a knife by a young boy in Charminar area of the city on Sunday, said reports.

DRDO official R K Satpathy sustained stabbing injury but he was out of danger, said reports quoting police. He was rushed to a hospital after the incident.

However, the incident has nothing to do with DRDO, said reports.

The attacker- possibly a snatcher or pickpocket- was running to escape a mob and when he was fleeing he stabbed Satpathy who was near him near Mecca Masjid.
.
Sathpathy is based in Koraput unit of DRDO.
