Don't need noun before my name to speak publicly: Manish Tewari
New Delhi, Sept 15 (IBNS): Hours after the Indian National Congress released a list of its leaders authorised to speak on the party's behalf, where Manish Tewari's name is being omitted, the veteran leader said he doesn't need 'noun before his name to intervene in the public discourse'.
"I ceased to be National Spokesperson of the INC in Oct 2012.When I intervene in the public discourse I do as an ordinary Cong worker who has served the party for 34 yrs," Tewari tweeted.
"There are certain core convictions I believe in. When they are assaulted I do not require a noun or a adjective behind my noun (name) to intervene in the public discourse as as a party activist I do not hold myself out as the Spokesperson," said he.
The list released by the Congress on Monday includes names like Anand Sharma, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mukul Wasnik, P. Chidambaram and Salman Khurshid as senior spokespersons.
Other spokespersons include Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Jyotiraditya Scindia, PC Chacko, Raj Babbar, Randeep Surjewala, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Sandeep Diskhit, Sanjay Jha, Satyavrat Chaturvedi, Shakeel Ahmed, Shakti Sinh Gohil, Shahshi Tharoor and Shobha Oza.
