Chennai, Mar 31 (IBNS): DMK chief M K Stalin blamed the Centre for replacing English on milestone marking of highways with Hindi and called it an imposition, on Friday, according to media reports.

Writing of several milestones on highways were seen to be in Hindi since last few days.

DMK chief stated that the BJP government is disrespecting other languages and also urged the Centre for equal treatment of all languages.

Stalin along with PMK founder S Ramadoss warned the central government of launching protests if the Centre does not withdraws such an action.

Tamil Nadu politics have taken a fresh turn with Stalin's dig at the BJP government just before few days before the by-election in late J Jayalalitha's constituency R K Nagar, which had fallen vacant after her demise.
