Digvijaya Singh accuses Twitter of blocking his birthday wish to Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Jun 19 (IBNS): Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has accused Twitter India of blocking his birthday wish to party president Rahul Gandhi, who turned 49 on Wednesday.

Slamming Twitter India, Singh said in the micro-blogging site that he could not retweet his birthday wish.

"How can it be so blatant @TwitterIndia ? A simple birthday wish to @RahulGandhi is blocked from retweeting!! Is Twitter now openly controlling the discourse and choosing its political partners? Fit case for Parliamentary inquiry? Why was my this tweet removed? (sic)" Singh wrote in a tweet.

Later he also deleted the tweet.

Singh had unsuccessfully contested the 2019 Lok Sabha polls from Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal constituency.

He was defeated by controversial Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Pragya Singh Thakur, who is also an accused in the Malegaon blast case.
