Digital Public Infrastructure is enhancing ease of living: PM Modi to Dutch Queen
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met Queen Máxima of the Netherlands and discussed the role of India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) in expanding access to affordable financial services.
During the meeting, Modi highlighted how India’s DPI-led transformation has improved financial inclusion by making financial services more accessible, affordable and efficient while enhancing the ease of living for citizens.
The United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health exchanged her views with the prime minister on initiatives aimed at improving financial health and broadening access to financial services.
In a post on social media platform X, Modi said he was “delighted” to meet Queen Máxima and noted that discussions focused on how India’s Digital Public Infrastructure revolution is making financial services more accessible and affordable while empowering people at scale.
The prime minister reiterated India’s commitment to sharing its experience and expertise in digital public infrastructure and financial inclusion with partner countries around the world.
India’s DPI ecosystem, which includes platforms such as Unified Payments Interface (UPI), digital identity infrastructure and direct benefit transfer mechanisms, has been increasingly showcased as a model for expanding financial access and supporting inclusive economic growth.
