Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actress Rimi Sen has claimed she has been duped of Rs. 4.14 crore by a Goregaon-based businessman, media reports said.

Sen has filed a complaint against Ronak Jatin Vyas, the businessman, at Khar Police station.

Sen became friends with Vyas back in 2019 at a gym.

The accused had lured Sen with a promise of 28-30 percent returns and convinced her to pay Rs. 4.14 crore through her film production house in a business venture.

The accused had also given a cheque of Rs. 3.50 crore as a security deposit at that time, police said.

The actress got back neither the principal amount nor the returns Vyas had promised her.

The businessman has also cut off all communication with her.

After not being paid back, Sen deposited the cheque of Rs. 3.50 crore, which was given by Vyas as a security deposit, and came to know the bank account was closed.

Sen also learnt that Vyas had never started any business.

Acting on her complaint, the Khar Police on Tuesday filed a First Information Report (FIR) booking Vyas for cheating and criminal breach of trust.

Sen, who had featured in films like Dhoom, Baghban, Hungama, is reportedly eyeing a return to the film industry through a music video.
