New Delhi, May 31 (IBNS) : All hell broke loose in the Delhi Assembly on Wednesday when suspended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kapil Mishra was manhandled and pushed by AAP lawmakers when the house met for a one-day special sitting on the GST or Goods and Services Tax, reports said.

Mishra, who has raised a crusade against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, slapping several allegations of corruption on the Chief Minister, claimed that he was kicked and punched by "five or seven" AAP legislators.

"This is the first time that a legislator has been assaulted by legislators inside the assembly," he said.

Mishra staged a protest against Kejriwal inside the  Assembly with banners.

When Speaker Ram Niwas Goel protested to his demonstration and asked for him to be evicted by marshals.

Then AAP members reportedly attacked Mishra and beat him up.

Mishra said  he had urged the Speaker to let him speak in the house and had also called for a special assembly sitting at the Ram Lila grounds.
