New Delhi/UNI: In the wake of rapidly growing threat of Coronavirus, prominent trade leaders of different parts of Delhi, on Friday, decided to close business establishments in the national capital for next three days beginning tomorrow to prevent transmission of Coronavirus.

The markets in Delhi will remain closed on March 21,22 and 23, said, Praveen Khandelwal, Secretary-General, Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).

The trade leaders will review the situation on the evening of March 23 and will decide actions for future, he said.

The CAIT has exempted chemist shops, dairy and general consumables from the shut down for the convenience of citizens for procuring their daily requirements.

"The traders are committed to extending all possible help to the government in containing Coronavirus from community transmission", Khandelwal added.

According to the government, the number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in the country rose to 223 on Friday evening.
