Delhi LG rollbacks mandatory 5-day institutional quarantine for COVID-19 positive patients

New Delhi/UNI: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Saturday announced rollback of compulsory five-day institutional quarantine for Covid-19 positive patients in the national capital.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the LG said,”Regarding institutional isolation, only those COVID positive cases which do not require hospitalisation on clinical assessment & do not have adequate facilities for home isolation would be required to undergo institutional isolation.”

The LG chaired a meeting of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Revenue Minister Kailash Gahlot, CS CP and other senior officers.

The DDMA has approved recommendations of High Level Expert Committee for fixing subsidised rates for Covid treatment in private hospitals Delhi.
