Delhi HC asks Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal to take down video of AAP leader's court address

New Delhi/IBNS: The Delhi High Court has asked Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal, social media platforms to take down a video of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader's address to the court on March 28, media reports said.

The court has asked social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube to delete posts or reports of the video showing Arvind Kejriwal addressing the court over his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the liquor policy case.

The court ordered hearing the plea seeking action for violating the rules of video conferencing.

The plea had alleged Sunita Kejriwal had made copies of the video conference and posted it online.

Arvind Kejriwal had told the court as quoted by NDTV, "I was arrested... but no court has proved me guilty. The CBI, or Central Bureau of Investigation, filed 31,000 pages (of chargesheets) and ED filed 25,000.

"Even if you read them together the question remains... why have I been arrested?"

"The ED had only one mission - to trap me," he alleged, "Three statements were given (by one witness)... but the court only saw those that accused me. Why? This is not right," he added.

Kejriwal, who heads the AAP, was given an interim bail in May for a brief period until June 2 for campaigning in the Lok Sabha polls.

He went back to the jail on June 2, the day next to the last phase poll date.

The central investigative agency asserts that the Chief Minister, who was arrested on March 21, played a central role in the scam and was directly implicated in soliciting kickbacks from liquor barons.
