Delhi: Five people hospitalised after toxic gas leakage

New Delhi/UNI: Five people were hospitalised after they inhaled toxic gas which leaked at Ekta Vihar in RK Puram area here, police said on Thursday.

The police said they received information about a toxic gas leakage at Ekta Vihar area and they reached the spot and took the people to the hospital.

Fire tenders and two ambulances along with DDMA team also reached there to rescue the people.

Police found five people who complained about itching in their eyes and were immediately sent to Safdarjung Hospital, police said.

"All the victims are safe and normal. No fire in any gas cylinder and no fumes emerging out from any place in Ekta Vihar area was found. Situation is under control due to timely action of the police," said a senior police officer.
