Delhi Court extends stay on CM Kejriwal's bail till July 10

| @indiablooms | Jun 25, 2024, at 10:20 pm

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday put on hold Arvind Kejriwal's bail granted in the liquor policy case by the trial court on June 20.

A Vacation Bench of Justice Sudhir Kumar Jain continued the stay and posted the matter for further hearing by a regular bench after the vacation when it will meet on July 10.

According to reports, the high court accepted the Enforcement Directorate's plea seeking suspension of the Chief Minister's bail order from the lower court.

Following the court's direction, the Chief Minister will currently stay in prison.

The Supreme Court may take up Kejriwal’s plea on Wednesday which he had filed earlier challenging the High Court’s June 21 decision to stay his bail.
