Delhi Chikungunya : Union Health Minister J P Nadda says, no panic
“There is no need to panic, Delhi has all the facilities to tackle the situation. I have already spoken to the Delhi Health Minister and Centre will provide any assistance to Delhi government,” reports quoted Nadda as saying at a press conference.
"There is no shortage of medicines and testing capabilities across the country," he said.
Nadda said the Delhi government has been asked to provide a detailed report of the situation. " I have spoke to the Delhi Health Minister and asked him if they need anything...I have assured him that Centre is ready to provide whatever assistance needed to deal with the situation."
According to reports, five people died in Chikungunya over the last 24 hours while the toll in dengue went up from five to 10.
According to statistics, so far, 1,057 cases of chikungunya have been reported.
