New Delhi, Jan 14 (IBNS): Senior Congress leader Ajay Maken will contest the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls from Sadar Bazar, officials said.

Ajay Maken would lead the campaign committee for the Delhi assembly polls for the party.

The Congress party on Wednesday released its second list of candidates who will fight in the upcoming Assembly polls where the party was rooted out by Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) last time.

Former MP Mahabal Mishra and former speaker Yoganand Shastri have been named in the list which contains 25 names.

The party had won only 8 seats in the last Delhi Assembly polls which witnessed the rise of Kejriwal who had ruled the national capital for 49 days.

Delhi Assembly elections will be held on Feb. 7.
