Delhi Assembly polls: Kejriwal to contest from New Delhi seat

New Delhi, Dec 24 (IBNS): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday released names of eight candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls in Delhi.

The party has named party supremo Arvind Kejriwal in this list.

Kejriwal will contest from New Delhi seat. He had earlier served as the Chief Minister of the state for 49 days.

"With today’s announcement, the AAP has so far declared its 59 candidates for the 70-member assembly," the party said in a statement.

Names of candidates and their constituencies:

1)      Arvind Kejriwal      New Delhi (former chief minister)

2)      Rajendra Gautam     Seemapuri

3)      Fateh Singh              Gokulpuri (former deputy speaker Delhi assembly)

4)      SD Sharma               Ghonda

5)      Kailash Gehlot         Najafgarh

6)      Amanatullah Khan   Okhla

7)       Rajendra Dabas       Mundka

8)      Naresh Balyan          Uttam Nagar
