Defamation case: Kejriwal makes appearance in Amritsar court

Amritsar, Nov 1 (IBNS): Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday appeared before the Amritsar district court in connection with a defamation case filed by Punjab cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia.

In the last hearing, Kejriwal was exempted from personal appearance.

Majithia filed the defamation case against Kejriwal and two other AAP leaders in the Amritsar court on May 20.

He had alleged that AAP attempted to tarnish his and his family’s image by levelling baseless allegations on drug issue.

Besides, the Delhi CM, the case has been filed against AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Ashish Khetan.
