Croydon tram derails in London, five dead and 50 injured

London, Nov 9 (IBNS): Five people died and dozens were injured after a tram overturned in London, media reports said.


The accident left people trapped inside the vehicle for some time.

"More than 50 were taken to hospital after the derailment in Croydon just after 06:00 GMT," BBC News reported.

The tram known as 'Croydon' derailed at the track while taking a turn, photographs in media showed.

According to reports, the death toll is likely to increase.
