New Delhi: Condition of former Indian PM Manmohan Singh, who has tested COVID-19 positive, is 'stable', Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said on Tuesday.

"Followed up on Dr Manmohan Singh Ji’s health with the medical team attending to him at AIIMS, Delhi. His condition is stable," Harsh Vardhan tweeted.

"Best possible care is being provided to him. We all pray for his quick recovery," he said.

The veteran Congress leader, who tested positive for Covid after registering a fever, was admitted to the hospital at around 5 pm on Monday as a precautionary measure, said reports.

Singh has already received two jabs of vaccine doses (Covaxin) - the first on March 4 and the second on April 3.
