Covid-19: Another batch of passengers arrive in Jammu; sampled and quarantined

Jammu/UNI: Another batch of passengers stranded in different parts of the country due to the nationwide lockdown imposed to contain the novel Coronavirus from spreading arrived here by Rajdhani Express at Jammu Tawi Railway Station on Friday morning.

The passengers were sampled and sent to the government established quarantine centres.

Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sushma Chauhan here said, "2nd day of Rajdhani express arrived today at Jammu".

The DC said that 1,000 passengers sampled and dispatched to administrative quarantine centres in their respective districts.

"Clearance time from station reduced by three hours as compared to day 1," she added.

Over 1000 passengers also arrived on Thursday at Jammu in a special train and dispatched to their respective districts for quarantine.
