New Delhi, Oct 4 (IBNS): Mocking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Congress' new campaign for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh polls took a dig at the the central government.

"We won't promise Rs 15 lakh. But, bring a Congress Govt in UP & together, in 5 years, we will change the face of the state," the party tweeted.

The tweet is response to PM Modi's claim in 2014, then the candidate for the post of the Prime Minister.

The party also said that whatever development the nation has achieved is due to Congress' policy making.

"Irrespective of what people say, the nation has progressed in these last 60 yrs due to the policies of the Congress."

Taking a jibe at the PM, the opposition party said, "If Modi ji is planning to run a govt for only 10-15 people, we won't let him run such a Govt."
