Congress leader Reshma Padekanur dies

Vijayapura, May 17(UNI) Former JDS District President and Congress leader Reshma Padekanur was found dead near Kolhar bridge and the police suspect that the deceased was murdered before the body was thrown near the bridge.

 

Police said that Reshma had unsuccessfully had contested on JDS ticket for Devarahipparagi Assembly seat in 2013 and had joined the Congress in 2018 as the party did not gave her the party ticket in the 2018 Assembly elections.

After joining the Congress the deceased was active during the elections and was not given any responsibility in the Congress, the sources added.

Police have registered a case of un-natural death and investigating.
