Congress announces Sheila Dikshit as CM candidate for UP elections

New Delhi, July 14 (IBNS): The Congress Party on Thursday announced former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit as its chief ministerial candidate for the coming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, reports said.
"Smt Sheila Dikshit announced as the CM Candidate by the Congress Party for the UP Elections," INC India tweeted.
 
The Congress said they look forward to Sheila Dikshit's leadership which will help "develop" Uttar Pradesh.
 
According to reports, the 78-year-old leader, a Brahmin by caste, is being made as the face of the party in UP on the advise of  Prashant Kishor, the master poll strategist who has been working for the Congress.
